The Government of the State of Guanajuato in Mexico and the company American Axle & Manufacturing - AAM- inaugurated the first Richard E. Dauch Institute of Education and Development worldwide in the FIPASI Industrial Park.
The CEO of American Axle, David C. Dauch, son of the Founder, Richard E. Dauch, explained that this institute, which is unique in the world, will offer training courses to both American Axle & Manufacturing plant personnel and the public in order to develop their skills, specialize and get into the labor market.
As part of the equipment, the institute has an Okuma GENOS M560V Machining Center and an Okuma GENOS L200E-M X 500 Lathe.
128 million pesos were inve
sted, the resources were contributed in equal parts by the IECA and AAM, 64 million pesos. And it was built on a land of 11 thousand square meters, donated by American Axle & Manufacturing, in addition to providing machinery and equipment.
